A lady wrote and said she couldn't hear a word. It's all loud and clear on my PC and on my phone. I think we all have different sound set ups for hearing Substack audio.

I'm really a one handed player for the most part. My left had just does fixed patterns in changing chords. The right hand goes off a bit in different scales. One of these days I'll do some lessons with a pro.

"Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On" was one of the first 5 or so 45s I bought in Benton Harbor, Michigan, in '57, (bought Fats Domino's "Ain't That a Shame" first two years earlier), so on the strength of your homage, I'm going to have to up my ante and subscribe.

Lots of the Sixties can be seen germinating in the 50s. David Halbererstram's (sp) big book on the Fifties was really good on taking down the stereotyped notion of the grey flannel Fifties vs. the technicolor Sixties.
