Paul! I was waiting for someone to articulate the outrage I feel hearing Biden blathering over the Catholic Church of Ireland, enforcer of the "laundries" where pregnant girls were imprisoned, their babies stolen or buried in church grounds. Not enough people even know that shameful patriarchal history.

Yeah had to mention the Ireland thing. I refuse to go all Ancestry.com about my (slight) Irish "roots." Some red-haired NBC reporter was suggesting this morning that Joe is an Irish immigrant who became president. Birth certificate? 😂

Ok.

neocons out. Repub fascists and neoliberals in. To me these to labels are , for sure, ideologically apart yet they seem to be in consensus on foreign soil adventures. Fiscal conservatives and the libertarians maybe not but the 2 ideologues mentioned above serm in sync regarding military adventures. Could you explain why this is so Paul why this is so

Cheers

Any semi-cogent "left" movement would be posed to take advantage of the sharp divisions in the ruling class. At International Harvester. In the 70s, we were able to take advantage of differences within management. Sort of a microcosm.

Oh yeah the divisions are heating up, with big implications for the functioning of their system. I mean think about how potentially destablizing this insane F'n mifepristone litigation is for Big Pharma...JFC, it sets precedent where some Christian fascist judge among many hundreds of district federal judges can F'ng cancel FDA approval of any drug. Hey imagine if one of these luantics could have cancelled the Covid vaccine! Now its shaping up that the kid who did the empire-damaging documents release on Discord was some kind of military son fashy boy motivated not by good leftist anti-imperialism but more likely by a white nationalist hatred of "socialist" (LOL) Biden and...who knows, maybe a love for fashy Putin ...or just by a desire to impress some teen incels on Discord. The F'n fash gov of TX is going to pardon a racist Army Sgt who shot a BLM protester dead in Austin in the summer of 2020 -- the Sgt was just convicted by a jury of his peers. I could go on...Trump promising to be "your retribution" and calling his Black prosecutors and investigagtors "Soros-backed animals." Calls 2024 "the Final Battle." The NRA is meeting right now to spread more guns as we have gone past 150 mass shootings this certainly by now. Madness reigns. I seems unlikely that the center can hold.

According to another study, the U.S. engaged in 64 covert and six overt attempts at regime change during the Cold War. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the United States has led or supported wars to determine the governance of a number of countries.

We need to storm the DC bastille and take our government back from the neocons

I think the neocons are out. That was the Dubya era. We have the Republi-fascists on one hand and the dismal neolibderal Dems on the other hand -- and the conflicct between these two ruling class parties is heating up. Did you want to engage the issues in this particuar essay?

A single district judge canceling FDA approval of a drug is without precedent. That was an entertaining effort to look smart and have a "gotchya" moment :) You gotchyoself!

As for "You are supporting Big Pharma's legal perspectives," do you have any idea how groesque that is? Jesus, man, I am supporting women's access to the leading madication used in half the nation's abortions. Do you seriously not get that? Do you not understand from my ongoing publication record that I am a Marxist who would prefer that the means of drug production were owned and run by a socialist government? Are you aware of any socialist producers of mifepristone? No you are not because none exist here. Like it or not, mifepristone, which is an essential medication for women's freedom to live without unwanted pregnancies, is produced by Big Pharma. Now, do you think there can be no legitimate convergence between the values of a Marxist women's liberation backer and a big sector of US and global capital? If so, then you are just out of it. Do you think I should have wanted some district judge to try to shoot down Covid-19 vaccine approvals since the covid vaccines are manufactured by Bg Pharma? Are you anti-vax?

You are unncessarily nitpicking. Seriously. My languaage is specific about the FDA. I am not calling the SC decision....it could go either way. By some accounts, Kavanaugh is the swing vote. Yes there is a contradiction between the Christian fascist women-hating movement and the power of Big Pharma. Congrats to you for understandinng that, Gold star. "On April 7, 2023, Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas ruled that the FDA’s approval of mifepristone should be put on hold, more than 20 years after the agency first authorized the drug. It was the first time a federal judge had ever blocked a drug approved for humans in contravention of the FDA approval process." https://www.pharmacypracticenews.com/Online-First/Article/04-23/Unprecedented-Court-Rulings-on-Mifepristone-Have-Pharmacists-Worried/70050

I will not be surprised either way how Court holds today/tonight. This is a key moment in terms of gauging how far Christian fascism can advance the disruption its program requires over and against the regulatory captivity and stability capital --- in this case Big Pharma -- requires or at least desires. There are many examples of this tension. You are pretty damn mansplainy and arrogant, borderline insulting. 😆. Can't imagine this kind of word count in a Substack comment is all that healthy. I'm not impressed by claims of safety risks with mifepristone. Looking forward to your next 2000 words.
