"Revolution anyone?" The right response, of course, is "yes," albeit grudgingly at first, no doubt, but eventually firmly supported by everyone, since mountains of evidence make clear that mankind is now at the point poetically described by Marx and Engels, as per your quote, when "all that is solid melts into air, all that is holy is profaned, and [humanity] is at least compelled to face with sober senses his real conditions."

That's a script for the inevitable coming revolution that will dismantle the malignant global system of predatory capitalism now in place that's doomed by ecological realities beyond dispute. The choice is either revolutionary systemic change or extinction. Conscious awareness of this fundamental truth is not widely shared at present, but people are waking up. In any case, it's a no brainer that the road to a happy destiny for Homo sapiens requires a massive transformation of consciousness. The larger question now is, will a consensus in favor of an eco-socialistic-democratic world government be established in time to avert Armageddon?

Okay but why do you say inevitable? Don't you think a shit ton of human agency is required including revolutionary organization and leadership?...I mean, just cuz young Marx and Engels said so in 1848? Lots of agreement here but I for one compeletely reject inevitablism of any kind, happy or sad. Well, perhaps I'll qualify that a bit say and acknowledge that apocalypse seems inevitable on the current trajectory, without the required revolutionary movement and leadership.

A shit ton of human agency indeed. Agreed. So yeah, not so inevitable if a transformative revolution doesn't occur! All conditioned things are impermanent, according to the Buddha, so you're right: salvation isn't inevitable, not by a long shot. Back to the drawing board!

The events immediately leading up to the revolution will be televised by corporate media. The events of the revolution and thereafter will be televised by all.

Hi Paul,

if a Trump presidency doesn't bring on a revolution here in the USA nothing will.

Any thoughts how this will play out post a probabe Trump victory. What's your battle plan. Not sure what mine will be but i'm hoping I'll get off my ass and assist somehow in bringing this revoultion to light.

best to you and the many others it will take to bring this to fruition.

Capitalism will cancel all prospects for a decent future with or without Trump in the White House imho. How about US backing for genocide in Gaza sparking a revolution? Okay but say Trump gets back in, which seems possible if not probable: Well for one thing we'll need a mass movement to demand Trump-Carlson Out Now. I think we should be prepared to reject another Electoral College installment of him as illegitimate. Illegitimate! Point out that his presidency is unconstitutional under the (imperfect but in this case useful) Fourteenth Amendment. Literally refuse to accept his fascist presidency and rebel it against while agitating hard and effectively for a system beyond the sick AF and exterminist capitalist-imperialist one that gives us a choice between the orange fascist menace Trump and the bloodsoaked warmonger Genocidal Joseph.

Hands down best line and analysis is the Revcoms. Who or what is "a group like the anti-fascists"? You think there's a group called "The Anti-Fascists"? Is there? I've never heard of that group or for that matter of "Peace and Freedom" -- who dat? And how do they think revolution (if that's whay they advocate) is about peace? And did you really/actually/seriously say "P&F" (?) is "the only one to tout a socialist platform"? I mean, are you putting me/us on? Is that a joke?

Ok I just meant I know plenty of groups with socialist (they say and usually mean it to some real degree) and that I have not heard of the groups you seemed to be mentioning. Sorry for any misunderstanding!
