Seth Day you have exposed yourself as a sexist. Congratulations for having quickly educated me on the accuracy of the warning I was given: permit comments only for paid subscribers. If you want to continue here you'll have to pay.

Wow, Seth Day :(

Paul Street, hope you're feeling better by now, and thank you for documenting in this article what most

people (myself included) are not fully aware of. What most people also don't realise is that fragrance

chemicals such as those in air "fresheners" (really polluters) make the immune system less able to handle virii, whether flu, covid, or other. I mention this JIC you use or live with someone who uses such

products (or other heavily chemicalised products like perfumed laundry products, which offgass around oneself the chemical constituents in them All. Day. Long) that are not needed (as, for example, cleaning products might be). If you are breathing in such chemicals in your residence, it is very likely to make your recovery time lengthier.

It makes sense also to reduce or eliminate such (what I call "inessential") chemicals in one's environment, for cardiovascular reasons. Because once the body's detoxification resources are depleted and no longer can properly remove such chemicals from the bloodstream (where they're breathed in along with oxygen), they continue to recirculate UNdetoxified, irritating, inter alia, the linings of blood vessels, making one more vulnerable to heart attack and stroke (MD William Rea, cardiologist trained, is a source of writings on this subject). If I ever can find an affordable, smoke-free place to rent (don't have the money to buy a standalone home, unfortunately because neighbors' smoke entering my indoor air from theirs, has historically caused repeated "constructive eviction" in apartments) on my $1K/mo disability income, I will be finishing writing my book Strengthening the Body Against the Covid Virus (and Other Microbes) that discusses and documents the science behind these phenomena, and others, in full. HTH

[Paul, please don't publish this bracketed part of my comment, but as a fellow activist whom I hope would be in solidarity with this mid-60s progressive yet hobbled-from-writing-due to disability-induced-poverty female, I wanted to comunicate to you privately why I haven't been able to finish that book (some key, leading-edge concepts in which, have been confirmed by MDs with whom I've personally spoken), which I started in March 2020, and I don't have your email adres. In short, due to landlords' "one third rule" that states rent can be no more than a third of one's income (of course, there is no such thing as rent @ $333/mo out here, even for a room, which I've also been unable to find despite sterling credit, etc, references), I've been repeatedly turned down as a tenant for rentals up to $650/mo (the most I can pay on $1K/mo disability income) and therefore have been stuck sleeping sitting up on the front seat of my car for more than three years -- this vertical position having prevented adequate glymphatic circulation within the brain case that requires a HORISONTAL position during sleep, with resulting impaired brain function, that also has prevented my finishing my book on Healing Greed. I hope you'll consider whom you might know who might wish to help me finish these 2 cutting edge books before I die, by renting me (a smoke-free room with kitchen and bathroom access, and TYIA for your time and consideration, Greenie]
