Two additional takes:

18. The poor performance of Trump-backed candidates suggest that the Democrats may be happy to see the House January 6th Committee disbanded and Trump kept out of jail so as to enhance the Dems' chances of him being the Republicans' 2024 presidential candidate. The Dems may well want to run against him again. Perhaps they will even help fund his next presidential bid, which was formally announced last night.

19. Folks might want to tone down their partying over the defeat of MAGA-Republican election deniers running for key executive branch offices that manage and oversee elections in contested states. Yes, its good that these fascists ( e.g. the Oath Keeper Finchem who ran for Secy of State in AZ) lost but let's keep in mind that the Moore v. Harper ruling currently in front of the Christian Fascist Supreme Court is about whether or not state legislatrures and not state executive branches can cancel the popular presisidential vote in a given state. Many if not most if not all (I have to check) of the relevant state legislatures are "red" and the Court is likely to rule for right-wing election cancallation power

Stopping the red wave is a weak election win. The fact that the Democrats have a slight edge in the Senate and will probably lose the House of Representatives, shows that voters feel they are doing a poor job meeting their needs. In addition the Biden Administration is leading the world through its war mongering into a possible nuclear war with Russia and China. They are also not doing enough to deal with the ongoing climate catastrophe. Both parties are in the control of wealthy and the corporations.
