Many of the writers who criticize the republicans for being extremists but not being able to use the word Fascist need to update their dictionary and stop relying on the meaning of the 1920s and 30s.

There is a new Fascist in town and people need to wake up before it's too late.

The idea of crazyness become a washed out road twice a year that my midwesterners have a fit and all accuse everyone else of madness. Seeing what is happening in the clearest resolution you can gives you agency enough to talk intelligibly to your own age cohort. Might be the plumber my age I was talking to is mad to hold a torch for second ammendment. But he surely saw how it was in Ohio before all kinds of gun carrying was liberalized. It was the behavior of police to on pretext search for illegal guns. For years they became demoralized, and stopped doing searches at all. Now they have equilibrized and are back to probable causing. But surely when i said to him Scalia wrecked the court by citing "common sense" in his assents, he could see the danger. Calling this open air fascism allows you to feel agency. You become free to wear all your own changes of expression and not by one monolithic method, but in moments where you have your cohort's ear, if they can feel the world make the sense that it has, a black boot goes to every neck under arrest, the feeling of seeing what really is there I cannot help thinking the feeling lasts a long time.

"Nothing will fundamentally change." was a dog whistle to the left intelligentsia and Wall St. Biden has so far made good on this promise, imo. Two wings of the same bird playing off one another toward a mutual fascist agenda. Great summary of the Right's implication, but it is the left that should always be studied as concerning, as historically it was the Neo-liberal Intelligentsia that gave rise to Hitler. The right is just more blatant.
