"Lone Wolf" Killers as Fascist Death Squad Agents

Let me give you an example of how pathetically squeamish the establishment liberal media is about confronting the homegrown fascism that is staring the nation in the face.  Look at this National “Public” Radio (N “P”R) reporting on Mauricio Garcia, the fascist pig who murdered nine people mostly of Korean and Indian descent with an AR-15 outside an outlet mall in a Dallas suburb last Saturday:

‘Garcia, who entered the Army in June 2008, was terminated three months later without completing his initial entry training…

Evidence suggests the shooter held far-right extremist beliefs

Police suspect his ideology might be linked to his motive, NPR has confirmed. While it is an ongoing investigation, evidence suggests that Garcia held far-right extremist beliefs.

At the time of his death, officials say Garcia was wearing a patch with the acronym "RWDS" — which stands for "Right Wing Death Squad." The same patch was worn by a Proud Boys member who pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

However, NPR has not seen any evidence linking Garcia to the Proud Boys.

Social media accounts that appear to belong to Garcia showcase neo-Nazi and white supremacist views. His victims were mostly people of Korean and Indian descent.

Police say they are interviewing Garcia's family, friends and neighbors to see what else they can learn about him and what led to the fatal attack.’

Could National Prozac Radio please give us a break and drop the excessive caution about the fascism in play?

“Evidence suggests” that Garcia might have far right beliefs and that “his ideology might be linked” to his massacre of Asian-Americans.  Ya think? Jesus F’ng Christ, National Pacification Radio, Garcia was a discharged military veteran who wore a “Right Wing Death Squad” patch as he slaughtered Asian-Americans and had neo-Nazi white supremacist content on his social media, okay?  Hello?  

Darkly hilarious it is to see National Pentagon Radio say it “has not seen any evidence linking Garcia to the Proud Boys” after reporting evidence linking Garcia to the Proud Boys: he wore the same fascist patch donned by Proud Boys on January 6.  

Good grief, the man was a fascist. As are other not-so “lone wolf” white male shooters who slaughter mostly non-white people en masse in the United States. The deranged white guy (DWG) who fatally gunned down 23 mostly Mexican-American people at a Wal-Mart in El Paso, Texas in August of 2019.  The DWG who killed 11 Jewish people at a liberal, anti-nativist Pittsburgh synagogue in October of 2018.  The DWG who murdered 5 people at an LGBT nightclub in Colorado Springs last November. The DWG who shot six leftists – consistent with his online claim that communists aren’t human beings – in Portland, Oregon in February of 2022. The DWG  who fatally gunned down 10 Black people at a grocery store in a Black neighborhood in Buffalo, New York in May of last year.  The DWG who killed seven people in the largely Jewish Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois last July 4th.

A consistent theme with these and other “lone wolf” terrorists is their consumption and use of right-wing dark web media and their fervent belief in what I call FRT, short for Fascist Replacement Theory: the belief that a globalist conspiracy of elite liberals and leftists is working to replace purportedly virtuous and hard-working white Americans – the “real Americans” – with supposedly criminal and lazy people of color.  (There’s more to the lethal paranoia than that – fear and hatred of women’s power and liberation is also key to the mindset – but FRT is a consistent part of the mix in most cases.)  

The media could not bring itself to call the Buffalo shooter a fascist even though he openly identified as one.  

It’s not just about the red states. We will soon learn more about Daniel Penny, the DWG and Marine veteran who came up behind a mentally disturbed and homeless Black man and proceeded to strangle him to death over seven minutes on a New York City subway train last week.  As Carl Dix of the Revolutionary Communist Party writes, “Jordan Neely, a young Black man who entertained crowds as Michael Jackson, was murdered May 1 on the NYC subway by a white former Marine who was well trained in murder by the U.S. military. What was Jordan’s crime? Listen to Jordan’s words right before his lynching: ‘I don’t have food, I don’t have a drink, I’m fed up … I don’t mind going to jail and getting life in prison … I’m ready to die.’ And for this the former Marine, aided by others who held Jordan down, choked him to death—squeezed the life out of Jordan Neely.”  How fascist was that?

It seems likely also that the man who killed eight Venezuelan immigrants with an SUV in Brownsville, Texas last Sunday was motivated by nativism.  Reports indicate that he shouted anti-immigrant slurs as he ran his victims down.

It’s time to stop treating all this racist-as-F “lone wolf” terrorism as a series of isolated incidents reflecting just a combination of mental illness and national firearms saturation. Let’s get real about the Amerikaner fascism linking them – the fascism that has now taken hold of one of the nation’s two dominant parties and is turning some of the nation’s states into laboratories of 21^st Century neo-Nazism – models for the nation the Right would like to create in coming years.  My next Paul Street Report will look at the state that has gone the furthest down this ugly path so far: Florida.

In the meantime, let’s think about considering these “lone wolf” shooters/killers as members of what Garcia’s patch said: a Right-Wing Death Squad.
