Fascist Putschists Get Out of Jail

On the Order of the Malignant Cult Leader they Tried to Install as Dictator

Let’s look at two special individuals among the more than 1500 fascist January 6 thugs the fascist 47^th president of the United States Donald “Take Down the Metal Detectors” Trump has just released from federal jails and prisons.

Fascist Leader and Criminal Henry “Enrique” Tarrio

As was demonstrated in detail to jurors and US Washington DC federal district judge Timothy Kelly in a 2023 trial, Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, 39, the former national chairman of the fascist militia organization the Proud Boys, created a special chapter of the Proud Boys known as the “Ministry of Self-Defense” prior to January 6, 2021. The group conspired to use force against the US government to obstruct Congress’s certification of Joe Biden’s Electoral College victory in the 2020 presidential election. By the federal government’s account:

“In the days leading to January 6th, Tarrio and other leaders of the Ministry of Self-Defense hand-selected members of the organization, including co-defendant Dominic Pezzola, to serve as ‘rally boys’ during the attack on the Capitol. To prepare for the attack, Tarrio and the other leaders established a chain of command, chose a time and place for their attack, and intentionally recruited others who would follow their top-down leadership and who were prepared to engage in physical violence if necessary.

On January 6th, the group began their assault that day at 10:00 a.m. when [Proud Boy leaders] [Ethan] Nordean, [Joseph] Biggs, [Zachary] Rehl, and others marched an assembled group of nearly 200 individuals away from speeches at the Ellipse and directly toward the Capitol. At 2:11 p.m., Pezzola smashed open a window, allowing the first rioters to enter the Capitol as Biggs and those with him entered close behind. Court documents say that Nordean, Biggs, Rehl, and the men they recruited and led participated in every consequential breach at the Capitol that day.

As the events of January 6th unfolded, Tarrio, who was monitoring the attack from afar, posted encouraging messages to his tens of thousands of social media followers, including: ‘Proud of my boys and my country’ and ‘Don’t fucking leave.’ Tarrio privately claimed credit for the riot at the Capitol, telling Proud Boys senior leadership, ‘Make no mistake . . . we did this.’ On January 7th, Tarrio addressed the Ministry of Self-Defense members, telling them he was ‘proud of y’all.’”

Why did Tarrio have to “monitor the attack from afar”? Because before January 6, during one of two fascist rampages the Proud Boys undertook in Washington DC in December of 2020, Tarrio and other Proud Boys burned a Black Lives Matter banner that had been torn down from a historic downtown Black church. After picking Tarrio up on an arrest warrant for that racist crime on January 4, 2021, Washington police ordered Tarrio (who was in possession of two automatic firing magazines at the time) out of the nation’s capital city.

During their December hate rallies in Washington, the Proud Boys under Tarrio’s command wore t-shirts emblazoned with the following messages: “6MWE” and “Pinochet Did Nothing Wrong.” The first message means “six million Jews killed in the Nazi Holocaust wasn’t enough.” The second message defends the fascist Chilean dictator Gen. Augusto Pinochet, who overthrew the democratically elected government of the socialist Salvador Allende in 1973 and then ordered the murder and torture of tens of thousands of Chilean leftists and workers. (Pinochet carried out this coup with the support of the Nixon administration the US Central Intelligence Agency),

On September 5, 2023, Judge Kelly leniently sentenced the Tarrio to 22 years in federal prison for seditious conspiracy and other charges related to the January 6 Capitol Riot.

Fascist Leader and Criminal Stewart Rhodes

The former fascist Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes was found guilty by a Washington DC jury on Nov. 29, 2022, following his eight-week federal district trial on charges of “obstruction of an official proceeding and tampering with documents and proceedings.” As the federal government reported following the ordering of Rhodes’ lenient 18-year sentence for seditious conspiracy and other charges related to the January 6 Trumpist-fascist putsch attempt:

“The Oath Keepers are a large but loosely organized collection of individuals, some of whom are associated with militias. Following the Nov. 3, 2020, presidential election, Rhodes, [fellow Oath Kepper leader Kelly] Meggs, and others began plotting to oppose, by force, the lawful transfer of presidential power. Beginning in late December 2020, via encrypted and private communications applications, Rhodes, Meggs, and others coordinated and planned to travel to Washington, D.C., on or around Jan. 6, 2021, the date of the certification of the electoral college vote.

The defendants also, collectively, employed a variety of manners and means, including: organizing into teams that were prepared and willing to use force and to transport firearms and ammunition into Washington, D.C.; recruiting members and affiliates; organizing trainings to teach and learn paramilitary combat tactics; bringing and contributing paramilitary gear, weapons, and supplies – including knives, batons, camouflaged combat uniforms, tactical vests with plates, helmets, eye protection, and radio equipment – to the Capitol grounds; breaching and attempting to take control of the Capitol grounds and building on Jan. 6, 2021, in an effort to prevent, hinder and delay the certification of the electoral college vote; using force against law enforcement officers while inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021; continuing to plot, after Jan. 6, 2021, to oppose by force the lawful transfer of presidential power, and using websites, social media, text messaging and encrypted messaging applications to communicate with each other and others.

On Jan. 6, 2021, a large crowd began to gather outside the Capitol perimeter as the Joint Session of Congress got under way at 1 p.m. Crowd members eventually forced their way through, up, and over U.S. Capitol Police barricades and advanced to the building’s exterior façade. Shortly after 2 p.m., crowd members forced entry into the Capitol by breaking windows, ramming open doors, and assaulting Capitol police and other law enforcement officers. At about this time, according to the government’s evidence, Rhodes entered the restricted area of the Capitol grounds and directed his followers to meet him at the Capitol.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., according to the government’s evidence, Meggs, along with other Oath Keepers and affiliates – many wearing paramilitary clothing and patches with the Oath Keepers name, logo, and insignia – marched in a ‘stack’ formation up the east steps of the Capitol, joined a mob, and made their way into the Capitol. Rhodes remained outside, coordinating activities.

While certain Oath Keepers members and affiliates breached the Capitol grounds and building, others remained stationed just outside of the city in quick reaction force (QRF) teams. According to the government’s evidence, the QRF teams were prepared to rapidly transport firearms and other weapons into Washington, D.C., in support of operations aimed at using force to stop the lawful transfer of presidential power.”

As promised and predicted, Trump has just let these two fascist monsters loose, along with hundreds of other fascist criminals (including the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers mentioned in the long quotes above) who attempted to overthrow previously normative electoral and rule of law “democracy” in the United States.

There is of course no bigger fascist criminal running absurdly free in the country than the freshly re-inaugurated US president Donald Trump himself.

Had he been permitted to proceed with his January 6 case against Trump, the former special federal prosecutor Jack Smith would have certainly won convictions of the orange-tinted fascist Dear Leader on the following charges for which a federal grand jury found abundant probable cause to indict Trump:

· conspiring to obstruct the government function of selecting and certifying the President of the United States, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 371

· obstructing and attempting to obstruct the official proceeding on January 6, 2021, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c)(1)

· conspiring to obstruct the official proceeding, in violation of 18 U.S. C. § 1512(k)

· conspiring to violate the federal rights of citizens to vote and have their votes counted, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 241.

All these charges were slam dunk convictions.

Bear in mind that Mein Trumpf wanted Tarrio and Rhodes’ fascist henchmen armed with military assault weapons as they attacked the US Capitol on January 6. Mein Trumpf objected vociferously to the presence of metal detectors that prevented his election certification-obstructers from bringing AR-15s and other guns along with them as they looked to “Hang Mike Pence” and zip-tie Nancy Pelosi.

The fact that Mein Trumpf has been permitted to retake the office of the US presidency is an open insult to the third section of the US Fourteenth Amendment, which was passed after the defeat of the Southern Confederate slaveowners’ treasonous secession of 1861-1865. The section reads as follows:

“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

Bear in mind also that Mein Trumpf might have been convicted by the US Senate for his attempts to subvert and cancel the 2020 presidential election and thereby banned from a return to the White House after the US House impeached him for January 6 but for numerous Republican Senators’ realistic fears that they and/or their family members would be killed by fascist lunatics (likely including members of Tarrio and Rhodes’ organizations) had they honored the rule of law over the rule of fascist men.

Think about that: the deranged racist, sexist, eco-exterminist, pandemicist, nativist, and fascist maniac Mein Trumpf is perhaps able to return to the White House because US Senators from his own party were too scared of Trumpist-fascist violence to uphold the rule of law against him and his “blood and soil” thugs.

In other news, another accusation of sexist abuse has briefly delayed the Republi-fascist majority Senate’s likely confirmation of the open Christian Fascist Crusader and Biblical lunatic Pete “Pig of Death” Hegseth as head of the world’s biggest killing machine, which Trump wants to deploy in a fascist-nativist mass deportation campaign and to drown any future mass protests in blood.
