People need to stop putting forth half-baked justifications for nay-saying and know-nothingism, as if nobody has thought this through and it’s all a matter of opinions are like a-holes- everyone has one. There is leadership and an organization that has pointed to a possible way out of this horror- but which needs to be engaged with and actively spread- BY US! Of course, after a lifetime of capitalist-imperialist brain polluting people are not going to spontaneously have a scientific analysis of why revolution is not only necessary, and even less understood, why it’s uniquely possible at this time.

I hope people who are deeply concerned about what’s coming down and the horrors people are experiencing around the world, act on it and go to revcom.us.

Engage with the writings of Bob Avakian and the revcoms, listen to the RNL show, and get involved in spreading revolution!

Desperately, same in France. Look at the situation after the election puting the left widly winning and now Le petit roi Macron hand into hand with the fascists ...

I'll be blunt if this might be one of the last few months this can even be said openly: when was the last time that most of the things that American leftists advocate as resistance have actually worked? Let alone-to again be blunt-to get to the point where you have a real chance at fundamentally changing governmental structure.

Things have sped up on numerous levels. You may be pleasantly surprised by what transpires. Or you may have a jaundiced take on things validated.

Well maybe a second Trump administration that goes full fascist along with the help of the MAGA House and Speaker Mike "We're coming to a Red Sea moment" Johnson will be so extreme that it actually presents an opportunity for the People to finally hit bottom then rise up.

"Rise up! / When you're living on your knees, you rise up /

Tell your brother that he's gotta rise up /

Tell your sister that she's gotta rise up!"

Don't throw away your shot, brah.

Rick Wolff thinks there's a chance that reasonable capitalists like Tim Cook, who want to continue to do business with China, will combine with a grassroots peace movement to shut down the crazies like Musk, Sullivan, Nuland, Blinken, Pompeo and Chevron.

I mean his WSMEs would be subject to the law of value and operate under the whip of the anarchy of capital....just not a core systemic change in the mode of production at all. Very very reformist and mild workplace reform, has nothing really to do with Marx's call for "the revolutionary re-constitution of society at large" on the path to a world where no no part of humanity exploits any other art of humanity and the reigning maxim is "from each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs." Nothing about the people rising up and taking power from the ruling class and the wielding the state in a new and revolutionary way. I mean he uses Marxism in some clever and economistic ways but I certainly don't think of Wolff in connection with Marxist communism at all.

Let’s assume that the other readers here had effective strategies in place and set go at a pre-determined moment.

Would they announce their plans beforehand on Facebook? Twitter/X?

The security state would already have the counter-actions in place.

I wonder if the only way to succeed is to have the surveilled get the “surveillors” on their side, but unless you’re working on a Coen Brothers screenplay that paranoid thinking gets out of hand fast.

As Revcoms and others have written, uprisings can happen unexpectedly with unforeseen specific events triggering popular support.

ok but something of a different topic than this piece.

By which I mean my question did not really require detailed plans giving away when where how etc.
