For a "career politician" Joe Biden is pretty lousy at reading the public. If he loses the next election, his stance on Palestine will be a major cause.
I imagine it has already cost Genocide Joe Michigan, one of the small number of contested states that absurdly determine presidential election outcomes under "our" slaveowners' Electoral College. I have spoken to a number of people for whom his embrace of Bibi was the final straw.
Yes, I believe most people will see themselves as between a rock and hard spot, which might result in a low showing at the polls, favoring the Orange Menace. It's clear to me, having watched too many elections, that voting for either of the money-drenched major parties will never result in any meaningful change in the direction of our nation and voting for third parties is merely stripping votes from one or the other of the clowns chosen for us. I'm now convinced, at 92, that Revolution is the Solution,,,which is likely why "they" decided to make it illegal,, even though it's how the nation came into being.
I hope, sincerely, that your voice never tires--you're one of the few, who not only sees things clearly but is unafraid to speak out with the truth. Good Luck!
The "reminder" I get is that if one lives long enough, one is sure to become a cynic. When I look at our 'bought and paid for' presidency, Congress and Supreme Court, it invariably brings to mind the saying--Cynicism is but the smoke rising from the embers of unrealized or shattered dreams'. Time to wake up! Just as revolution gave birth to this nation, so is it that we're way overdue for another "birthing',,, and for the same reason of an 'unresponsive' government.
Powerful and excellently written, Paul, as always. I am ashamed to say that since first being old enough to vote (1972, George McGovern for President -- other than voting for Jesse Jackson, could have stopped there), I have consistently voted for Democrats. Vote Republican? Never. The thing is that now there is no way that I'll vote for any candidate for public office who is a member of the Democrat Party, a political party clearly complicit in whatever anyone wants to call the horrors that Israel is committing against the Palestinian people. Cannot happen, will not happen. One has to draw a line somewhere. And if I read you right, the Democratic Party cannot save democracy or, for that matter, anything else of value. Only the people united can do that.
Always benefit from your essays. But instead of using “appears to” in response to a widely known atrocity from Israel, use “is”. to declaratively stand on the position you represent. I believe the most visible way to show angry opposition to Bidens cowardly actions to this massacre is to
Hold back your vote and openly state you are doing it. Hopefully, drastic changes in polls favoring Biden and his quislings may force them in a different direction, and oppose Israel’s slaughter publicly given.
Keith - you gonna cast a ballot for Genocide Joe? I get that many will feel compelled to do so, especially in an actually contested state like Wisconsin, given the menace of Trumpism-fascism, but I also get that for many folks Biden's embrace of Bibi and the genocide underway is just the final straw and that the stench of this admiistration is just too great to ignore. Me, I'm against the whole damn system for a real revolution.

Thank you! I'll take all the luck I can get
Which reminds me of the Buddy Guy line: "if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all." 😂

Thanks. Sounds like a correct reading!
Thanks for that citation. To be clear, I see Iowa Trumpeters actually flying and wearing Israel flags these days.

Hold back your vote? Are you serious?
