Always good listenimg(reading) your thoughts. It's a tough pill to swallow your statement racism and sexism and patriarchy will never be resolved under capitalism. Why I saw that is: we have made strides in these areas under our current system. L9ng way more to go but have moved the needle a little. Maybe with more effort we can move it a lot further.

That my 2 cents, Paul.

Cheers

Why a tough pill to swallow? You don't want to get rid of capitalism?

In case anyone wonders why I'm talking so slow, I am finding that ss audio is speeding up to a ridiculous degree lately. Earlier today I lost 20 minutes to this. Cannot properly adjust the speed. No discernible fix.

Before reading your review of "The Half Has Never Been Told: Slavery and the Rise of American Capitalism," I was aware that slavery is a heinous crime against humanity committed against African Americans and other nationalities throughout the world. However, I had not fully comprehended the extent of these atrocities until now. As a result, I have contacted the library in order to borrow this book.

Going off-topic. What are your thoughts of Isabelle Garo's "Communism and Strategy: Rethinking Political Mediations", as reviewed by James Rushing Daniel in Jacobin?

- a big question , Paul.

-Wanting to get rid of capitolism? 'When I read it it scared me. What would be its replacement. What would the replacement look like and how would it work in the surround of other nations. Devil in the details! Is there any nation or system you could point to currently or in years gone by that would exemplify your vision of a system devoid of all or most capitalistic ideology. Maybe east Germany, the GDP, before the Berlin wall came tumbling down. Maybe China's current system. Maybe the newly evolving Russian system as it becomes less dependent on capitalistic nations due to current sanctions and more dependent on internal production of widgets to supply its citizens with wanted/ needed goods.

Anyway, the rubber hit the road when you asked that ? Why? Lots of unexplored territory needed lots of answers to fill in the gap.

Have you published any material of what your envisioned system - communism socialism - would look like.

Thanks if you can lead me to a publication or 2 that would unscare me.

Always a pleasure, Paul.

Really good start is Bob Avakian, Phony Communism.is Dead: Long Live Real Communism (2005). Then I'd have a look at Avakian's Draft Constitution for a North American Socialist Republic. I would also Google up Avakian's fascinating essay Conquer the World. Seriously. All the academic Marxists I know immediately roll their eyes at the mere mention of Avakian's name. That is a very, very good sign. Academic Marxism is for the most part an abysmal surrender and failure. As for the nightmare capitalist regimes in post socialist Russia and China, good grief you must be joking. The healthiest society I've ever seen was in Havana in 2015. Far from perfect to say the least but quite different than anywhere I ever visited.

No I wasn't jok8ng when mentioning China and Russia. Both countries from my point of view(thinking) are a meld of capitolism and socialism/communism. See, showing my ignorance interchanging socialism and communism. Maybe one of your essays/blogs could delve into that.

Cheers
