Voting for the least of 2 evils has finally reached its end point. The US has reached critical mass and is a danger to itself and to the whole world. I have no advice for you because you most likely will not take it. So, I watch from the sidelines.
Trump may indeed have Fascist tendencies. He certainly doesn't respect any real democratic principles, and at least from his speech and his appointment of right-wing extremist judges, he certainly seems to meet the profile.
But I'm turned off every time anyone screams "fascism" but applies it only to Trump / the GOP. For it has been the Democrats who have most aggressively been pushing for State control of narrative, and the censorship that it requires. It was Biden's Administration, for instance, that proposed and initially set up the "Disinfo Board" (shades of Orwell's "Ministry of Truth"!!), and anointed a professional propagandist as its leader. From prosecution of whistleblowers (John Kiriakou, Julian Assange?) to censorship of independent journalists, mostly conducted through proxies, pressure on social media platforms to censor, derank, shadow ban; and the pressure to cut off funding, the pressures on college Administrations to silence protest, etc., I have never experienced the intensity of censorship that is now 'normalized' and in fact accelerating.
The GOP no doubt has in their midst many who would all too gladly do the same things. So it's not my intention to imply that the only fascists are Democrats. Yet that we must even mention the latter in this context should be a wake up call. It's also a plea to see the similarities where they exist.
