Endless Until We End It

My last post on the Kafkaesque insanity of Trump’s fascist Amerika should have included this:

Former attorney sexually abuses his son’s friend and gets 30 days. Former Marine stops a cop from murdering a protester and gets 100 years.

But wait, there’s more…there’s always more…

The openly fascist Deputy Chief of White House Staff Stephen “We are the Storm” Miller speaking to Fatherland (FOX) News about recent primary victories by social democratic progressive Dem candidates in New York city:

“Over time, the Democrat party has…adopted this radical, revolutionary, and in many cases, violent ideology that wants to tear America down and destroy everything that we know and love, from top to bottom. Right? Living in a state of total anarchy, without police, without law enforcement, where criminals can rape and maim and murder with impunity, where your kids are taught from the age of two to hate America, to hate their God, to hate their parents, to hate their family, to even hate their own gender, that’s their agenda…that’s just a death knell for America.”

That is a wildly false and fascistic way to describe the AOC/Mamdani Democrats, reformists who want to make American capitalism-imperialism less savagely unequal and exploitative with expanded affordable health care, housing, public transportation, and childcare and the like.

It would be one thing if this were just the ravings of a deranged paranoid psychotic fash boy living in his uncle’s basement. Chillingly enough, however, Miller is the single most influential political operative in the Trump White House, the leading mover and shaker behind the regime’s racist mass deportation campaign and construction of a giant concentration camp network.

(The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has recently called for an investigation of the alarming number of people who have died in Miller and Trump’s torture/death camps.)

A recent Miller post on X supports mass racist voter disenfranchisement with the following six words: “Change the voters, change the country.” That’s some straight-up eliminationist Nazi shit that feels a lot like hating America.

Then there’s this…Mein Trumpf’s corrupt Postmaster General David Steiner, a Fed Ex board member, said last week that the U.S. Postal Service will no longer deliver mail-in ballots in states whose governments refuse to hand over sensitive voter data to the Trump regime. Steiner told US Senators that this policy change is meant to ensure that “ballots are going to the right people.”

So what if the US Constitution clearly places election administration powers in the hands of state governments, granting the federal executive no authority over elections? Whether Trump and Steiner’s attack on mail-in ballots stands federal judicial scrutiny remains to be seen but the simple fact of their attack is itself a potent attack on the perceived legitimacy of election outcomes the MAGA regime might well move to ignore or cancel his fall.

There’s a lot more fascism to recount but that’s all I’ve time and energy for today.

The Trump-Miller-Vance-Vought-Roberts-Alito (et al.) project of replacing previously normative bourgeois democracy and rule of law with fascist governance is all about overwhelming the citizenry and society —- what the leading fascist strategist Steve Bannon has called “flooding the zone.”

It’s endless, unless and until We the People (a) stop looking and hoping for elites and institutions the regime is setting on fire to save us and (b) decide instead to rise up and end it ourselves.
