A Brief Interview on The Reptile, Narcissism, Fascism and January 6th

In addition to the Refuse Fascism podcast I put up and sent out earlier today, I was interviewed by my fellow Madison, WI veteran Paul DeRienzo on the second anniversary of January 6th. Paul interviewed Heidi Beirich, Bandy Lee and the "Marxist writer" Yours Truly on the legacy of the Capital Riot. The discussion with me starts early in minute 19. Listen to the whole thing. There's an interesting contrast between Ms. Lee and I. I don't disagree with her diagnosis of the orange reptile as a malignant narcissist but I of course see him as part of a broader political pathology called fascism. Speaking of Trump….while it strikes me that the potentially more dangerous sadist and neofascist Ron DeSantis (perhaps Dr. Lee will be diagnosing him soon) could beat The (orange-tinted) Reptile out for the RepubliNazi POTUS nomination in 2024, Trump is still very much the GOP frontrunner and was a big player in the recently concluded Speaker of the House election drama/coup. I will be writing about the January 6th mimicry in Brazil later this week.
